My "All Vegan Chapstick" in Strawberry Cream!

Natural for day, drama for night...
which feature do you play up the most?
My eyes or cheeks.
which feature do you try to downplay/cover up?
Forehead and Chin (acne prone)
your favourite makeup brand, if you could pick only ONE to exist?
oooh, thats tough! It's really a tie between MAC, NARS, and UD!
which product have you re-purchased OVER and OVER again?
NARS blush in "Orgasm" for sure!
which product would you NEVER repurchase again and why?
e.l.f. fan brush, it does NOTHING.

Cumulative Haul: MAC, Urban Decay, and Walgreens!

I love MAC and Urban Decay, they are both pretty great quality and cruelty free, plus Revlon also does not test on animals so I thought I'd check them out as well :D So, I didnt buy a heck of alot...but certainly enough! I'm tempted to go back to Sephora and get some more stuff this month (it's getting a bit addicting) but to be safe I've limited myself to between two and three new products each month, depending on price. Anyways, here is what I got:
Urban Decay Deluxe Eyeshadow Palette

MAC Mineralized Eyeshadow Trio - Inter View

MAC Mini Kabuki Brush - 181

MAC Select Moisturecover Concealer

Revlon's Colorstay Pressed Powder - Medium

So, all the eyeshadows should last years as they are highly pigmented and dont require that you use alot to get good color payoff. In fact, the dark blue and gold colors in "Inter View" are simply stunning. MAC brushes are supposed to essentially last a lifetime, and I just adore my new kabuki. Concealer is something I just recently started getting into, and I figured I would start off with good quality makeup. I believe I made a good choice to go with MAC, because the creamy-ness and smothness of the concealer is just amazing! Also, I just needed some new pressed powder foundation, so I picked up Revlon (which can be found at your local drugstore) because I heard good things about it and it is listed on PETA's caring consumer list as a cruelty free cosmetic company.
Note: Also, dont go thinking that I spend this much on make up often, this is a special one and was bought with various monetary gifts I got over the Holidays.

Bettie Page.

On Thursday, as I was driving home with my mom after school, I was surprised (maybe somewhat stupidly) to hear that one of my idols had died. Bettie Page, who was 85 when she passed away, was truly a remarkable woman. Of course she had a beautiful figure and luscious locks (not to mention those trendsetting bangs), but one thing that many people don't know about her is her passion for equality and diversity. She was a woman who was herself in every aspect; from hair and fashion to beliefs and morals.
Born: 04/22/1923, Died 12/11/2008

She will be missed by her family, friends,
and most definitley by her loyal and devoted fans.

So, recently I stumbled upon one of my favorite childhood movies, Disney's "The Hunchback of Notre Dame". I decided to watch it again, for old times sake, and was surprised at how much I actually enjoyed it! Esmeralda was always my favorite Disney girl, so it was a pleasure to see her again. In fact, I convinced myself to give in an get the Barbie version of her I never got, but always wanted, as a kid :]
Yet, there were some things in the film that I did not pick up on when I was five or six years old. For example, Judge Claude Frollo's obvious lustful obsession with Esmeralda. Anyways, these new revelations (and the fact that I actually understood all the jokes in the film) made the Hunchback of Notre Dame very interesting, especially for something coming from Disney.
I am aware that Disney did tone down the original story, where **spoiler alert** Phoebus is actually a complete jerk who manipulates a 16 year old Esme, the "gypsy girl" (correct term is Roma or Romani) is eventually hung...essentially for making Frollo want her but under the pretense of witchcraft, and Quasimodo (meaning half-formed) dies of starvation next to Esme's tomb. Not really childrens movie material, and I have to say even I like Disney's version better (mostly because my girl Esme ends up happy...and alive).
My point is, if I were you (no matter what you're age) I would seriously consider giving this Disney movie another peek. The characters are great, as well as the casting, and the animation is in my opinion much better than the 3D stuff now-a-days.

Well, I'm not one to follow trends...I've always worn whatever I wanted, even if other people thought I was weird (which happened more often than not). But I was shopping and saw some awsome purple skinny jeans. I never thought I would buy skinny jeans, even if I liked them alot...too many people were wearing them. But I couldn't resist purple ones, I mean, I love purple right now. Plus they have the coolest little skull buttons and they actually look good on me. I also love how skinny jeans look with heels. So if you see some chick walking around wearing purple skinny jeans, it's probably me...I plan to get as much out of them as possible :]
*After I posted this, I went to PB and bought a purple Bettie Page shirt. Double whammy since I love Bettie Page ...and of course purple.

**Spoiler Alert for The Sweet Far Thing by Libba Bray**
I am absolutely confused as to why I'm so affected by Kartik's death. I mean that tells us readers something about the book and it's author, right? Libba Bray is absolutely one of the very best authors I have ever encountered. I really do think that her books in the Gemma Doyle series deserve some huge recognition. Even more so than J.K. Rowling (whose books are also good don't get me wrong)...lemme just say that I didn't cry half as hard when Dumbledore died as when Kartik became part of the Tree of All Souls. I definetley became a million times more attached to Bray's characters than any author's. I've never had a book affect me this deeply before and I have to say that it doesen't feel too good. I understand the reason for Kartik's death, but it's still hard to imagine he and Gemma not being physically together ever again. I think i was just really hoping for some little Kartik babies :] Oh well, today I'm just going to have to rent Pride and Prejudice and work out my sorrow. All I have to say is, Wow Libba Bray...keep rockin' it!
